Biography

Ms. Shamsa Abdullah Rashid Al Sharji obtained her Diploma in Adult Critical Care Nursing from the Oman Specialized Nursing Institute, Muscat, in 2014. She later pursued the Advanced Healthcare Practice programme at Cardiff University, Cardiff, graduating with a Master of Science (MSc) degree in 2019. In 2024, she was appointed as the Director of Nursing Affairs.
Ms. Al Sharji has served as a member of the Research Committee, contributing to the review of research papers. She has actively participated and presented in both national and international conferences in the nursing and medical fields. She has published one research article in the Journal of Nursing Education and Practice and currently has two additional studies in the process of publication.
Speaker Expertise
I specialize in developing evidence-based nursing policies, procedures, and care pathways that are grounded in clinical governance principles and Lean Six Sigma methodology. My work focuses on integrating patient and family-centered care models into hospital systems to improve safety, quality, and efficiency. I have led and contributed to quality improvement initiatives that align frontline clinical practice with research, accreditation standards, and sustainable health outcomes across multidisciplinary settings.
