Manu Pelayo is an assisted dying clinical advisor at Health NZ and a doctoral candidate at Victoria University of Wellington. He holds a Master of Nursing degree and leads assisted dying research funded by the Health Research Council. Manu is the Deputy Chairperson of the Nursing Council of New Zealand. He volunteers as a Youth Leader and Community Educator with Hato Hone St John and is the national convenor of the Filipino Nurses Network NZ. He has held clinical and leadership roles at local, regional, and national levels across both public and private health sectors in Aotearoa New Zealand.
