One-day surgery (ODS) is an increasingly popular treatment in the public health system throughout the world as it reduces the length of hospital stay and costs while increasing patient’s satisfaction. This study aimed to investigate factors related to the success of one-day surgery in 178 patients who underwent a one-day surgery at Ramadhibodi Chakri Naruebodindra Hospital from 1 January 2022 to 30 September 2024. Descriptive statistics including frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, Fisher’s exact test, and chi-square were used to explain the relationship of one-day surgery success-relating factors. The study resulted in 150 successful one-day surgery cases (84.27%). Factors related to the success of this group of patients were age≤70 years (p=0.003), not receiving other painkillers_2 (p=0.008), receiving muscle relaxant_2 (p=0.009), receiving GA/TIWA (p<0.05), and Elective TYPE_PT (p=0.002). The results from this study will be used in the patient care monitoring and planning process.
