Abstract

Objective: To explore the application of information technology in the refined management of operating room instruments and equipment. Methods From June to December 2023, information technology was applied to the refined management of operating room instruments and equipment, including the operation procedures, handover management, maintenance records, and repair tracking of operating room instruments and equipment. Through questionnaires, the work efficiency and satisfaction of operating room nurses and surgeons were surveyed, and the average time and satisfaction of equipment handover and maintenance records in the first and second half of the year after the application of information technology were compared. Results The satisfaction of surgeons increased from 92% to 98%, and the satisfaction of operating room nurses increased from 90% to 98.3%. The time of equipment handover and maintenance records was significantly shorter than that before the application, and the differences were statistically significant (all P < 0.05). Conclusion With the continuous progress of science and technology and the continuous development of the medical and health care undertakings, operating room medical equipment is constantly changing, with a wide variety and high precision. The refined management of operating room instruments and equipment is a crucial task in operating room management. The application of information technology to the refined management of operating room instruments and equipment can improve the correct utilization rate of operating room instruments and equipment, make it more standardized and systematic, enhance work efficiency, and ensure the safety of using instruments and equipment.
