Global warming is one of the most serious problems of our age. The aim of the research is to determine the views and attitudes of third-year nursing students on global warming, to determine the level of their views and attitudes and whether their views and attitudes on global warming are affected by various variables, and to examine the effect of the education provided. The scale developed by Bayram (2014) was used in the research conducted on 3rd year nursing students at Çukurova University, Adana-Turkey, in the 2020-2021 academic fall semester. The scale is designed in 5 dimensions. These; importance, knowledge, interest, environmental literacy and behavior dimensions. A total of 30 items containing these dimensions were prepared, factor analysis was performed, and as a result, the opinion and attitude scale was reduced to 17 items. The training given to the research group included lectures, slide shows and video content on the subject. It was evaluated with scales applied before and after the training. Post-research training was applied to the control group. Permission was obtained from the Faculty of Medicine Ethics Committee of Çukurova University and participation in the study was voluntary. A statistically significant difference was detected in terms of Environmental Sensitivity Scale scores according to groups (Z=-3.527; p=0.000). The environmental awareness scale scores of the experimental group (the trained group) are statistically significantly higher than the control group. A statistically significant difference was detected in terms of Global warming survey knowledge and interest scores according to groups (p<0.05). The knowledge and interest scores of the experimental group are statistically significantly higher than the control group. A statistically significant difference was detected in terms of Environmental study survey scores according to groups (Z=-3.998; p=0.000). A statistically significant difference was detected in terms of Environmental sensitivity scale, environmental literacy and behavior scores of the experimental group according to their gender (p<0.05). The environmental sensitivity scale, environmental literacy and behavior scores of the girls in the experimental group are statistically significantly higher than those of the boys. Environmental awareness and global warming scale scores of the trained/experimental group are statistically significantly higher than the control group. It is seen that the effect of the training provided on the research group is positive.
